( interview kento & onuma for bank bang lesson - confetti september 2016 )
A familiar comedy by a new cast for theatre fans
Normal practice held at a bank, over the top crime prevention training!

The masterpiece by Takahashi Isao, "Bank Bang Lesson!!" is being performed by the young actors Ono Kento and Onuma Shota. Although it's the first time these two people with exactly the same birth date meet, they're already showing off a natural air. I wonder what kind of role these two play in this stage play.
Onuma: I play a bank employee. But rather than being an earnest and serious bank clerk, I think it's a role that's a little screwed or lacks common sense. My mother was actually a bank clerk as well, so I'm going to form my role by listening to my mother's stories.
Ono: My role is an original character that's appearing for the first time in this production. I play a part-timer who just happens to stumble across the bank. I actually dyed my hair black since I thought that I was going to be playing a bank clerk at first. When I heard it was going to be a part-timer, I thought it would have been better if I dyed my hair blonde! But I think I want to eagerly play a black haired part-timer now. (laughs)
You two have played in a great number of so called 2.5 dimensional stage plays with a source work. I wonder if the way you act changes if you act in stage plays with an original story, such as this one.
Onuma: I don't think I've really distantly been aware of that. But with 2.5D works you have to consider how to balance the part that sticks close to the original work and the part that you make by thinking for yourself. Since this time it's entirely original, I don't have to think about sticking close to the source work, but instead I think about what kind of stuff bank employees do.
Ono: It's fun no matter whether you're thinking about how to play an original character or something based on a source. But actors get an excited feeling when they wonder about how to shape an original character that no one else has done before.
Onuma: I'm also looking forward to the fact that it's a comedy this time around. Although I've worked with the director Shiroyanagi Riki-san before, it'll be really interesting to see him having a go at something like this. But if you're too aware of something being strange and amusing, it won't be amusing anymore, so I want to give it my all while performing.
Ono: For me it's the first time with Shiroyanagai-san. I'm looking forward to it since I really like comedies. I want the audience to be able to laugh from the bottom of their hearts and go back home in a happy mood. I'll do my best to make it that way.
